The purpose of the qualification is to enable qualifying learners to apply the relevant competences required for proactive participation as a Ward Committee member so that they achieve municipal objectives

LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Conduct formal meetings to achieve Ward Committee objectives.
- Demonstrate an understanding and apply the role of Ward Committee member in the context of core municipal processes.
- Display an understanding of core municipal functions and Ward Committee in these functions.
- Facilitate service delivery in ward committee context.

Module 1 Analyse the role that emotional intelligence plays in leadership
Module 2 Assess and support the implementation of strategies and strategic programmes and interventions
Module 3 Developmental local government’ and ‘integrated development planning’ for governance in a municipal area
Module 4 integrated development planning process in a municipality
Module 5 Design integrated development planning
Module 6 Determine the development mandate and direction of a municipal area
Module 7 Impact and policy implications of the concepts of ‘integrated sustainable development
Module 8 Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the integrated development planning processes
Module 9 Integrated Development Planning (IDP) processes and leverage coordination
Module 10 Plan a municipal budgeting and reporting cycle

Cost R10 500.00 (vat inclusive) per individual payable in 4 equal instalments
ASSESSMENT AND CERT
Students will each receive arch leaver files and shall continuously be assessed by means of Formative assessment and summative assessment(, group assignments tests and / or assignments, etc.) by our experienced assessors. POE must be moderated and file should be deemed Competed for learner to be awarded a certificate
Learners will undergo the following process to be deemed COMPETENT

Certification will be reprinted at the cost of R1150 as a result of learner negligence or loss of a certificate
